Tuscany Florence - hills

Florence has always been known as the city of Art, thanks to its priceless works of art which transform the city’s streets and piazzas into a vibrant open-air museum.
The heart of Florence is Piazza della Signoria, dominated by the towering Palazzo Vecchio and the Galleria degli Uffizi. Further along is Piazza del Duomo with the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore (better known as simply “Duomo”) with its imposing Brunelleschi dome next to Giotto’s bell tower and the Baptistery of St. John, with its well-known bronze doors.
The River Arno runs through the middle of the city, which is full of luxury villas for sale. The most famous of the bridges crossing the river, the Ponte Vecchio, is one of its kind, adorned with its typical jeweller’s shops. Crossed by the suggestive Vasari Corridor, it is the only bridge in the city that remained unharmed after the World War II. The left bank of the Arno, called Oltrarno, is the area where, even today, passing through its centuries-old artisanal shops, we can live the atmosphere of old Florence times.
